Questionnaires

As a candidate for Congress, I receive numerous questionnaires from various interest groups. I try to complete all of them, unless the wording is so ridiculous that it’s impossible to provide reasonable answers.

Most of the questionnaires come from very conservative groups and they are so-called “push polls” with loaded questions. These polls try to steer candidates in a particular direction; the direction which that particular organization supports. This is a very sloppy polling technique; thoroughly unscientific. Regrettably, there are also progressive organizations that send out “push polls” as well, but not as many.

With each questionnaire, I will provide you with my answers as well as a rating that I give a poll on its scientific validity. On a ‘1’ to ’10’ scale, a ‘1’ would be a very poorly written survey; a ’10’ would be a very well-written one.
